Ken’s Creekside
is proud to have new owner and Executive Chef Mercer A. Mohr
bring his concept of “San Francisco cuisine” to Sedona. Chef
Mohr is thrilled to have the opportunity to live and work in
Sedona. He is excited to be in an environment that will allow
him to combine his passion to offer top quality comfort food
creations with the natural beauty the red rocks have to offer.
Chef Mohr enjoys spending his time away from the restaurant
pursuing his hobbies such as Golf and Skiing in Northern
Arizona.
After graduating from the prestigious Culinary Institute of
America in Hyde Park, New York, Chef Mohr opened restaurants
for Vail Resorts, Rock Resorts, Hyatt Hotels, Four Seasons,
Omni and the Valencia Group. His many accolades include San
Francisco’s “Chef of the Year” for his innovative New American
Cuisine, the James Beard Award for "Who's Who of Food &
Beverage in America" and the “National Hotel Chef of the Year”
for his work with the American Culinary Institute.
Chef Mohr’s previous Executive Chef experience includes the
Camelback Inn Golf Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, the Four
Seasons Clift Hotel, Squaw Valley Ski Resort, and Omni Hotel’s
only 5 Star resort, The Inn on the Park in Houston. Chef Mohr
also spent three years as the Corporate Chef & Caviar Maker
for the Tsar Nicoulai Caviar Company in San Francisco
Chef Mohr looks forward to bringing you great food. The
restaurant features a hearty breakfast as well as lunch and
dinner which will only be enhanced by the extraordinary views
of the red rocks that serve as the restaurants backdrop. |
